Dominique Passmore

Dominique is a community advocate who speaks up without any hidden agenda or allegiance to a Party or Alliance.  Her focus is getting the best results for the community.

She’s known for tackling various issues, like addressing poor management in local developments, fighting against the removal of neighbour notifications, opposing the elimination of public speaking at Council meetings, and pointing out the issues with the Overland Flood study (if you’re unsure if your home is flood-prone, it’s worth checking).

Educated locally at Heathcote High, Dominique went on to complete university and has spent over 25 years working in Corporate IT and Finance. She’s helped commercial and government clients achieve their financial goals by understanding their funding needs and arranging commercial finance.

Recently, Dominique made a career change to work with Women for Election Australia a non-partisan organisation dedicated to achieving equal gender representation in all levels of government. As a Facilitator and Trainer, she educates and motivates other women to run for public office across different political backgrounds.

Dominique is actively involved in the community, having supported an independent candidate for Hughes, the Voice Referendum, and volunteering with a local food service.

She will bring a fresh and energetic perspective to the Council, backed by a strong commitment to the community and the environment.

Dominique is dedicated to caring, listening, and taking action.

Anne Passmore

Anne Passmore

Anne comes to her candidacy at the grand age of 80 years and many months.

A long term resident of The Shire, her early years were in Cronulla with her parents running the Corner shop at Wanda Beach.

Moving to the ‘country dirt roads of Heathcote East in 1965 she instilled in her children a passion for the local environment, and the need to speak up and step up when necessary.

A  member of the Engadine Music Society in its early years, she went on to perform for many years with the  Miranda Musical Society.  Anne’s love of music led to her establishing the DAMES – a musical ensemble of Senior Ladies that ‘toured’ the Shire’s best venues.  Anne has also been a Volunteer at St Vincents Care (John Paul Village), and in recent years has led a  Community Singing group at St Vincents.  Through these groups,  she has witnessed what the Council does and doesn’t provide for Seniors.

If she is asked – Anne’s two most pressing issues are the need for more accessible parking, and safer pedestrian accesses throughout. In particular, the crossing at St Vincents Care JPV  in Heathcote East needs to be improved as a priority. (The crossing was committed in 2022/23…yet to be improved)

The Matriarch of the Passmore clan (5 kids, 15  grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren), Anne looks forward to adding a Senior’s perspective to all Council decision-making.

Tania Clynch

Tania hails from the Bega Valley, and yes she likes cheese.

An accountant by trade, she has recently retired from the Executive Level of the Commonwealth Public Service, and now spends her time getting to know The Shire better after only living here for 9 years ☺.  She also works part-time for The Smith Family, an organisation dedicated to helping disadvantaged children overcome inequality and complete their education.

Tania has been active in presenting her perspective to the Planning Panel about the inadequate processes regarding the Heathcote Hall development and is looking forward to getting more involved in Council matters.

Tania has volunteered as a Community Driver for Activus Transport and marvels at the great work they do helping  Seniors and those less able in The Shire.
