Dominique Passmore

A proud graduate of Heathcote High, and resident of Heathcote East, Dominique is looking to bring to Council a different perspective.  She wants to be an advocate for the community without fear or favour.

As a school student, Dominique witnessed the Royal under threat in the early 1980s, and as an adult, she has been part of the community effort to ensure the Heathcote Hall re-development was scrutinised as it should be in an E4 Bushfire risk zone.   In the meantime, Heathcote Road still hasn’t been fixed.  How many more lives need to be lost?

Working throughout School and University locally, Dominique got to understand what it takes to run a small business – hard work, great customer service and cash flow!

With those skills,  upon graduating, she moved into the Corporate environment working in IT and Finance, where she continues to work.  Dominique will bring a different point of view to Council with a commitment to the community and local environment, balanced with a pragmatism that comes from her work experience.

Anne Passmore

Anne Passmore

Anne comes to her candidacy at the grand age of 80 years and many months.

A long term resident of The Shire, her early years were in Cronulla with her parents running the Corner shop at Wanda beach.

Moving to the ‘country dirt roads of Heathcote East in 1965 she instilled in her children a passion for the local environment, and the need to speak up and step up when necessary.

A  member of the Engadine Music Society in its early years, she went on to perform for many years with the  Miranda Musical Society.  Anne’s love of music led to her establishing the DAMES – a musical ensemble of Senior Ladies which ‘toured’ the Shire’s best venues.  Anne has also been a Volunteer at St Vincents Care (John Paul Village), and in recent years has led a  Community Singing group at St Vincents.  Through these groups,  she has witnessed what the Council does and doesn’t provide for Seniors.

If she is asked – Anne’s two most pressing issues are the need for more accessible parking, and safer pedestrian accesses throughout. In particular, the crossing at St Vincents Care JPV  in Heathcote East needs to be improved as a priority.

The Matriarch of the Passmore clan (5 kids, 15  grandkids, 9 great-grandchildren), Anne looks forward to adding a Seniors perspective to all Council decision making.

Tania hails from the Bega Valley, and yes she likes cheese.

An accountant by trade, she has recently retired from the Executive Level of the Commonwealth Public Service, and now spends her time getting to know The Shire better after only living here for 6 years ☺.

Tania has been active in presenting her perspective to the Planning Panel about the Heathcote Hall development and is looking forward to getting more involved in Council matters.

In her spare time, Tania volunteers as a Community Driver for Activus Transport, and marvels at the great work they do helping  Seniors and those less able in The Shire.
